Crushed

I love Joseph Losardo's sermons. Paster LoSardo is a "completed Jew" who loves Jesus with all his heart and soul and mind. I've had some computer problems that haven't fully been resolved (don't have a media player installed yet) so I haven't heard this message. I hope your comments will help to fill me in until I'm able to hear the message (soon, I hope) for myself. This was the "Good Friday" message.

Meh, so I'm off by a couple days... :-)

We had dinner with hubby's fam, so were out most of the day with church and that.

Do you have a subscription to sermonaudio? I always have trouble getting them to accept my email.

  4. Yay, I installed the media player...it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, whew!

I got to listen to the above audio today, enjoy him so much :-) Joseph mentioned the fact that what God did to His Son is sometimes (wrongly) taken to be God being a "child abuser"...and this reminds me of what a coworker says about God, so this was very helpful for me. God did not abuse Jesus...it was our sin that made what He did necessary to pay the price of our penalty. He didn't find a way to "bend the rules", He did it by fully keeping all the rules for us, and by those rules, paying the proper penalty required. He also reminded me that a person who isn't saved isn't going to "hear it" because it doesn't flatter their ego and doesn't make logical sense to the fallen flesh.

I so needed to remember those reminders. I need to have those firmly in my mind when I have people tell me things like "then God is a child abuser"....Our God is a very loving and merciful God who is definitely NOT a child abuser. :)

  5. I had never heard that (the child abuser thing). Yikes. It seems that there is no end to the fist shaking in His face.

  6. I finished this sermon yesterday, very nice! He explains the need for the crucifixion with clarity.

  7. Hi Ma,

Yes, clarity and simplicity...I tend to make things even more complicated :-P

Being brought up knowing the feasts and knowing the OT as a family personal history might make the answers to the problems of sin and completion of that justification fundamentally more basic to life. How's that for making it complicated again for you? LoL :-D
