Harry Potter and the Children's Indoctrination part 2

I found a bit more about Harry Potter's connection to the satanic...I watched an interview on Youtube (4 parts) all about JK Rowling and her thoughts, experiences, etc, in creating the characters and books of the Harry Potter series. She was so very likeable and seductively nice and enchanting.  She mentioned that the character of Harry Potter "visited" her while she was stuck on a stalled train, and likened the experience to the joy that she experienced with the birth of her first child....(!!!wow!) but she poo-poos the idea that she is a witch and discounts the facts that there is real witchcraft and incantations in her writings, saying that she did sprinkle some of that in but that she changed the incantations and various real parts of witchcraft into an aberation of what was real, her own invention, to suit her story....however....check this out:

In Harry Potter, the character named Sirius Black is most likely a reference to Sirius B. (the “darker” star of Sirius’ binary system). He is Harry Potter’s godfather, which makes Sirius, once again, a teacher and a guide. The wizard can turn into a big black dog, another link with the “dog star”.

  3. Hi Susan,
I remember when the books first came out and I bought one for my then 7 year old daughter to read. We were in the hayfield, me changing the irrigation pipes and my daughter brought her book along to read. She started reading and by the time she got to, I think it was the second chapter, she came up to me and said, "Mommy, I don't want to read this book. It is not good. There is talk about putting a spell on the aunt and, mommy, that isn't from God". I was so totally shocked and very proud of my daughter for doing that. My seven year old new the book was no good, I wonder how the author could pass this off as Christian. I was really mad for not pre reading this book, like I did to all the other books I gave her. I am not sure how this one passed my inspection but no worries as God saw fit to open the eyes of my daughter.

    Blessings,
    <><

  4. Hi Child of God

What a blessing :) He protected you. I watched all the videos of JK Rowlings talking about herself and writing these books. She is asked where her inspiration for them comes from, and she says "I don't know"... but your then 7 year old DID know, and I suspect if Ms. Rowlings really wanted to be honest, she would know too.

  5. I've never seen or read any of this series, so I can't really give an opinion.

I think we probably should steer clear, though:)

  6. I haven't read any of the HP books either, and I know some people would say that therefore I cannot make an assessment on it. I have seen some parts of one or two of the films, which JK Rawlings says accurately portray what she wanted to convey in her books. Also watching what she says about how she came to "meeting" Harry Potter, and how she would get her inspirations, which she admits she does not know the source of...even though she speaks so "innocently" about it all, it gives me the creeps.
