Clouds

Ma, You've inspired me!

A few pics I took of clouds last Wednesday (yesterday) at sunset (about 8 pm). I took these just after work. I stopped off at my local grocery store a few miles from where I live, and thought the clouds were so beautiful, and decided to see if I could take pictures that would rival Ma's ;-) jk

And here are a few that I took tonight (Thursday), again at dusk (about 8 pm) just before the storm hit:

    1. Hi Child of God :) thank you, I think I was still uploading them before you saw them all...I was having trouble and had to post and edit my post several times because the photos wouldn't load.

The clouds reminded me of the Joni Mitchell song.

  2. Hi Susan,
Even better the second time around! Perfect song to go with this post too. Thanks for sharing and alerting me to the change. :)

    1. Thank you for your alert on the topic of Progeria. I'll have to remember to use "goodsearch.com" instead of Google :) Little things mean alot to Jesus (His Bible tells me)

  3. Ahhh, just lovely:)

I specially like the 5th one down, with the semi in the background. As you may or may not know, my hubby drives a truck for a living.

Did you take these with a phone or a separate camera?

    I enjoyed the music, too;)

    1. Hi Ma,

I didn't know...Ken's been talking alot about wanting to go back to trucking lately...he wants to be a team driver with me, can you imagine that! He sent me a video of women truck drivers, it's funny :)

I took these with my camera, a little Canon, probably not as nice as your camera but does the job for me ;)

Joni Mitchell was one of my very faves when I was a teen, now this song seems sad to me, I want to shout out at the end: "JESUS!!! LIFE IS JESUS!!! YOU CAN GET TO KNOW ABOUT HIM!!!" :D

    2. My hubby doesn't do overnighters, I think it would be a lot of fun for you two:)

My camera isn't really anything too fancy, either, but does the job for me, too. I asked because cell phone pics usually don't look really good and those do!

  4. Hi Susan,
You should totally drive with your hubby. :) I use to drive an 18 wheeler tanker across Canada and through the eastern States. I did it for 4 years and then my back gave out on me and I had to stop. I hauled dangerous goods, gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, chemicals...you name it, I even hauled chicken fat for dog food. ;P

    1. Thank you for the encouragement, Child of God :) it is truly something we are praying about, as the Lord wills it to be...we will find out as our lives unfold :D

  5. These are beautiful. You and Ma should collaborate on a photo project - maybe a book of nature photos accompanied by biblical passages. :)

    1. Maybe if our combined readership ever went into the hundreds of thousands, hahaha! :D, instead of 600 (mine) give or take per month.

      It's a nice thought, though :)

  6. Aren't we blessed to be able to sit and watch the clouds and possibly dream a little while doing so. Reminds me of what I did as a child.
You captured some great photo's and glad I came by to enjoy them.
    Love
    Maggie

    1. Thank you Maggie. I enjoy clouds too. It does make me wistful and dreamy to look at them. Often when I drive to and from work, I find myself looking up at the clouds. I really like the effect of the bottom picture...sometimes I've seen clouds that are near white on a grey background and then grey on white background near each other...it's difficult to explain, but I hope to be able to capture that one day because I think it is so beautiful but whenever I see it, I'm not able to take a picture (while driving). Thank you for visiting! :)

    1. Hi Petra,

I was really surprised that a little digital camera could take such nice pictures. It is alot of fun. Sometimes I've forgotten the pictures I've taken, and later when I load them into my computer, there are nice surprises there to reminisce on those sweet moments again. Thanks Petra :)
