I took this photo the moment it began pouring rain.
It reminded me of the storm that is coming, and even now is at the door...
This morning we had dark clouds to our south-west which is an indicator that rain clouds are headed our way, and prior to that forecasters called for rain in our area for today. At first I saw the dark clouds near our south-west horizon. I wanted to get bit of gardening done this morning before the rain hit us... I moved a few plants and pulled a few weeds, and after about an hour I began hearing the thunder rumbling off in the distance as the sky grew darker above me. I pulled a few more weeds and brought all of what I pulled to the pile in the far back of our yard. I cleaned off my hands with the garden hose as thunder cracked loudly, and the thought that I should get a snapshot before the storm hits came to mind...and I barely got it as it started pouring just as I snapped it...
Jesus has given us so much warning of the coming storm, so much so in fact that people are mocking this fact by saying “where is the promise of His coming? Things have ALWAYS been this way!!!” Just as the Bible said they would say just before His storm hits. (see 2 Peter 3:4-7)
We see the signs, the clouds are no longer at the south-west horizon, they are right above us, the thunder is cracking loudly.
Do you hear Him?
Thanks Susan. Good lesson. Laten we bereid zijn.
ReplyDeleteEcht waar Aritha, our hope is coming soon.
DeletePraise the Lord that He keeps His promises! We who trust Him need not be confused by the "signs of the times," for surely He will come quickly, and, we pray, soon. Although we don't know the day or hour, we do know that we are one day closer to His second coming ad our sure hope than we were yesterday. Thanks for the great reminder and God bless,

Amen, God knows the time and He is never late, even when it seems like He is 😊🙏
DeletePraise the Lord, His timing is always perfect! God bless.
DeleteIndeed, many people look at the signs and pass by them. I like how its written in NIV translation: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2Pt 3:9
ReplyDeleteIndeed! No one will be able to say they didn’t have a chance, in fact we all get many, many chances!
