My car thermometer said it was 72 degrees on my way to work! No more snow (I think!) until at least November...
Spring cleaning! I've already cleaned and vacuumed the car. I need to take some stuff from the extra (junky) room, to storage...and some stuff from storage to either the Salvation Army store, or to the trash...and I need to reorganize my kitchen cupboards....and I need to clean my windows and balcony!
There's also the spiritual spring cleaning. That is through the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 51:10 the Psalmist says: "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit in me!"
AMEN!
72! It has done nothin' but rain here for a week, but at least it's not snowing...and we have thankfully had no severe weather.
ReplyDeletePsalm 51:10 the Psalmist says: "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit in me!"
I'll note that it doesn't say...I'll fix my heart!:)
Hi Ma,
ReplyDeleteI need that verse permanently taped to my forehead, lol...
It was raining here last weekend (my weekend off) and Monday...I worked yesterday and it was gorgeous...last night it began raining again, and now it's pouring outside. I was going to walk to the workout room....but I'll take the car those hundred yards, sheesh...
Oh, and notice that the verse implies asking...a persistent asking, like the parable about the person who goes to the neighbor's house late at night to ask for bread for unexpected company.
ReplyDelete"Ask, seek, knock" are for His people and doesn't apply unless you are truly His. There is a "general good" that falls on all people: the evil and the good alike.
It's something I ponder often...
I wish spring would finally hit here. It is still raining, cold, windy, overcast, and in the 50's.
ReplyDeleteOh my, the spiritual spring cleaning! Never ends around here.

Hi Gregg
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, spiritual spring cleaning is an ongoing thing all the time :) It's just that Spring cleaning made it a great "visual" for me.
Thank you for visiting :-)
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI think it is amazing that the Holy Spirit will come in, make a home in our heart. Great visual, really love this.
Enjoy the spring weather for it doesn't last long before it gets hot.

Hello Child of God,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is amazing, often I overlook the truly amazing and mistake it for ordinary.
I love spring and autumn. Both seem way too short!
