Powerfully Saved

So much has been happening in the news lately, of course the much anticipated Supreme Court decision is being talked about everywhere, many on Facebook are altering their profile pictures to show their support of the same sex marriage decision...I was considering altering my profile picture on Facebook to have a Bible or a cross or perhaps an open tomb, but decided to keep my profile pic the way it is. I don't want to cause people to jump to conclusions from a picture before hearing me out, and it all seems like a childish "whose side is bigger" game to me. It doesn't matter what people (including Supreme court justices) decide or do, it is what God has done, does, and will do that matters most.

Looking around on youtube on the topic of LGBT I found a wonderful testimony by a former lesbian activist. She has many insights into the "lifestyle" and the LGBT movement, how they infiltrate, the truth about LGBT tactics, and the difficulties that plague those caught in this way of life from behind the scenes, and how the Lord saved her and changed her "ministry".

Charlene is not a pastor, but she does mention a woman pastor that spoke words of life to her. I hope you won't get sidetracked on the woman pastor issue.  True that the office of pastoral leadership should not be held by women, however I also know from scripture that God can even use a donkey to keep a person from heading for destruction.

Also she mentions that it was her choice to allow Jesus to save her, yet she mentions  that the Lord saved her when she was 12 years old...the Lord obviously had a plan for Charlene's life and He brought it to completion. It doesn't matter if we think we chose Him, what makes anything we do real or not is if God ignites and infuses His Spirit into whatever decisions we make. Many think man's power to decide is what saves us and of course we can do nothing unless the Lord first grants us the ability to see that choice and then give us His power to choose the right thing. She might be a bit confused about who chose whom, but I can see that she has been powerfully saved by the Lord truly intervening in her life.

This video is about 25  minutes in length. Please have a very uplifting and inspirational coffee break time out with Charlene:

It's making more sense now. I can do nothing as an atheist until "God" first grants me the ability to see that I have a choice, a choice that is utterly useless because it requires "His power to choose the right thing".

"God" is clearly in control, and therefore, is solely responsible for the fates of both theists and non-theists. Good to know. Thx for posting.

    1. The book of Romans tells that everyone has enough evidence through the miracles all around us in creation to know there is a God. There is a nebulous "grey area" of seeking, and God has made us so He has made us sincere or insincere. Who is truly sincere, and who is truly insincere? The proof is in the pudding, and yes God made us the way we are, and yet He who made us says we will all be without excuse. Which one are you?

  2. "The book of Romans tells that everyone has enough evidence through the miracles all around us in creation to know there is a God" ~ Susan

Except that this conflicts and runs contrary to when you categorically stated that, and I quote..."we can do nothing unless the Lord first grants us the ability to see that choice"[emphasis added]

Thus, your very own words reveal that I have A CHOICE to see "creation" as evidence for God, or to not see it as evidence. After all, if I HAVE to see "creation" as evidence, then by definition, I have no "choice".

To compound matters, it doesn't help your position that you now state that God either makes people "sincere", or "insincere". It's really fascinating, because each time that you attempt to minister to those whom you believe to be "lost", you make it clearer and clearer that it is "God" who's ultimately responsible for who's "lost", and who's "saved". We are merely pawns in a cosmic game of Chess, it seems(assuming for sake of discussion that there's actually a "god").

    1. and yet there ARE those who sincerely repent, and are sealed and kept by God...if you think you have this figured out and therefore are not held responsible for the fact that you are thereby unrepentant, ok, you can have it your way, you have it figured out better than I do, and are smarter than the God of the Bible, AND are headed for hell. It's perfectly fine with me that you believe in yourself and your wisdom that much, have fun with that.

  3. "and yet there ARE those who sincerely repent, and are sealed and kept by God"

With all due respect, firstly, you didn't reconcile the pretty glaring conundrum involving previous statements of yours that talk about "choice". Susan, we either have "a choice" to believe that X, Y, and Z is evidence of "God", or we don't. If we do have a choice, then according to previous statements, you say that we can do nothing until/unless God first grants us the ability to to see that choice.

Thus, I would think you'd have to admit that, as you describe it, we can in no way be responsible, since, seeing the evidence God's way is impossible until/unless God grants us the ability to see it that way. Again, this is your own, unambiguous words, unless maybe you'd like to retract those statements and start over.

Secondly, in neglecting to overcome the first problem, you now create another one by saying that there are those who sincerely repent, and that those people are, quote...."sealed and kept by God". "Kept" to what degree, exactly? Would you happen to mean kept against one's will? It certainly sounds that way to me.

"if you think you have this figured out and therefore are not held responsible for the fact that you are thereby unrepentant"

No, Susan, I don't think that I have everything all figured out. Notwithstanding, it's fairly easy to figure out when someone writes statements that contradict. And, well, you've done just that.

"you have it figured out better than I do, and are smarter than the God of the Bible, AND are headed for hell."

All I can say is that it's got be really frustrating for you when, each time that a non-believer points out the internal contradictions and inconsistencies when you attempt to minister, that you inevitably fall back on the empty threats of "hell". As if being frightened to not believe something is a good reason to believe it. But let me ask you, Susan, how concerned are you that "Allah" is going to see to it that you are thrown in "Jahannam"?? Let me guess, you're not frightened at all, are you? No, you're not, because using your own wisdom, you know that that's just a bunch of man-made nonsense. In that case, you know precisely how non-Christians feel about "hell".

    1. No threat, just telling the truth believe what you want.
