Footprints in the Sand

Last week was spent in the Bahamas. It was beautiful and relaxing. My friend Ken took this picture of me:

Just look at how big his shoes are compared to me, lol, and yes my legs are really that pale! Anyway, I put this and a few other pictures (chosen out of over 400 pictures taken) on my Facebook page. Someone that I work with commented underneath the above photo with:
"Footprints in the sand"

It's incredible that those simple words had a profound effect on me. God knows exactly where I am, and where I've been, and where I'm going. That just was so reassuring and uplifting.

    1. The vacation was primarily for Ken's mom, I just was blessed to be able to "tag along"...and it was so wonderful!

  3. Hi "Island Girl"! My favourite place to make my footprints is in the sand, keep that sensation and the wonderful Word on the tip of your memory as a permanent vacation. I have a beach I go to in my recall of God's having everything in his care that is a wonderful comfort and preview of all the wonderful things He has in store!

    1. The one day I forgot to wear it was actually the hottest (about 87 Fahrenheit, I think) and I did get a bit of heat stroke that day (the following morning I awoke with a terrible headache and took a Tylenol, which did take care of the problem). I took my crocs (in my left hand) that I often wear at work. I have a blue pair (the ones in the picture) and a pink pair that I left at work. I don't have flip flops, was going to buy some there, but didn't find any to suit my taste and pocketbook, but the crocs were just perfect, I can walk in those all day and not get tired :)

    1. Hi Natalie :)

It was fantastic, and really difficult to come back. I'm in Michigan, and it snowed yesterday, brrrr! The sand is much preferable to snow.
