The Problem with Atheists...

A few weeks ago I began reading a book...for me this is a tough assignment on several levels...The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky is translated from Russian to English (the version I'm reading is supposed to be one of the better ones, translated by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volkhonsky) so perhaps part of the problem is the fact that words often do not translate directly from one language to another and often make for tedious reading. Another problem is the Christianity that is presented in the novel is Russian Orthodox, similar to Eastern Orthodox, it is very different from the Christianity we experience in the west. I go several days at a time in avoiding the reading of it, so after these weeks I'm only at the halfway point, sigh and groan. I hadn't heard or known anything about this story or it's author, I saw it on our bookshelf (my husband purchased it a couple of years ago) and decided to dive in. Interestingly the topic of what atheists believe and think are explored in this story and the hero of this story struggles with these amoral people from the context of his Russian Orthodox beliefs. Although I have encountered these (atheistic) beliefs before, and not just from atheists, but directly from my own mistaken and fallen understanding of what I wanted to believe prior to being saved...encountering them in this story is timely, considering the recent events and my own struggles with the blasphemous utterings from "former Christians turned atheists". I hope to give a blogpost or two in the future (after finishing this drudgery of a book reading) to explore a few things that come up in this assignment....in the meantime, I share a debate that I enjoyed between an atheist and a Christian:

Is This a Chupacabra?

The "expert" says he thinks it's some kind of canine however canines don't eat like that with their front paws--raccoon-like-- what do you think?

"They're Here"

World's first GM babies born

by MICHAEL HANLON, Daily Mail

The world's first geneticallymodified humans have been created, it was revealed last night.
The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics.
So far, two of the babies have been tested and have been found to contain genes from three 'parents'.
Fifteen of the children were born in the past three years as a result of one experimental programme at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey.
The babies were born to women who had problems conceiving. Extra genes from a female donor were inserted into their eggs before they were fertilised in an attempt to enable them to conceive.

Genetic fingerprint tests on two one-year- old children confirm that they have inherited DNA from three adults --two women and one man.

The fact that the children have inherited the extra genes and incorporated them into their 'germline' means that they will, in turn, be able to pass them on to their own offspring.
Altering the human germline - in effect tinkering with the very make-up of our species - is a technique shunned by the vast majority of the world's scientists.
Geneticists fear that one day this method could be used to create new races of humans with extra, desired characteristics such as strength or high intelligence.
Writing in the journal Human Reproduction, the researchers, led by fertility pioneer Professor Jacques Cohen, say that this 'is the first case of human germline genetic modification resulting in normal healthy children'.
Some experts severely criticised the experiments. Lord Winston, of the Hammersmith Hospital in West London, told the BBC yesterday: 'Regarding the treat-ment of the infertile, there is no evidence that this technique is worth doing . . . I am very surprised that it was even carried out at this stage. It would certainly not be allowed in Britain.'
John Smeaton, national director of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, said: 'One has tremendous sympathy for couples who suffer infertility problems. But this seems to be a further illustration of the fact that the whole process of in vitro fertilisation as a means of conceiving babies leads to babies being regarded as objects on a production line.
'It is a further and very worrying step down the wrong road for humanity.'

Professor Cohen and his colleagues diagnosed that the women were infertile because they had defects in tiny structures in their egg cells, called mitochondria.
They took eggs from donors and, using a fine needle, sucked some of the internal material - containing 'healthy' mitochondria - and injected it into eggs from the women wanting to conceive.
Because mitochondria contain genes, the babies resulting from the treatment have inherited DNA from both women. These genes can now be passed down the germline along the maternal line.
A spokesman for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), which regulates 'assisted reproduction' technology in Britain, said that it would not license the technique here because it involved altering the germline.
Jacques Cohen is regarded as a brilliant but controversial scientist who has pushed the boundaries of assisted reproduction technologies.

He developed a technique which allows infertile men to have their own children, by injecting sperm DNA straight into the egg in the lab.

Prior to this, only infertile women were able to conceive using IVF. Last year, Professor Cohen said that his expertise would allow him to clone children --a prospect treated with horror by the mainstream scientific community.
'It would be an afternoon's work for one of my students,' he said, adding that he had been approached by 'at least three' individuals wishing to create a cloned child, but had turned down their requests.

Wisdom and Foolishness

This "Know Your Enemy" series is tying up so many loose ends for me, giving more of the evidence for things that I suspected but didn't fully understand. The next video clips are about the movement to replace worship of God with worship of mankind (man being born of a woman, and "wisdom" being given a feminine gender assignment. As a little background, this again ties back to Gaia, Semiramis, Ishtar, etc. and Sophia (which means "wisdom") check out the 6th century Hagia Sophia:

soph·ist  (sfst)
n.
1.
a. One skilled in elaborate and devious argumentation.
b. A scholar or thinker.
2. Sophist Any of a group of professional fifth-century b.c. Greek philosophers and teachers who speculated on theology, metaphysics, and the sciences, and who were later characterized by Plato as superficial manipulators of rhetoric and dialectic.

[Middle English sophiste, from Latin sophista, from Greek sophists, from sophizesthai, to become wise, from sophos, clever.]
 sophist [ˈsɒfɪst]
n
1. (Philosophy) (often capital) one of the pre-Socratic philosophers who were itinerant professional teachers of oratory and argument and who were prepared to enter into debate on any matter however specious
2. a person who uses clever or quibbling arguments that are fundamentally unsound
[from Latin sophista, from Greek sophistēs a wise man, from sophizesthai to act craftily]
Notice the mentioning of Plato in the above as exposing some of these philosophers to be superficial manipulators...but many of the later "sophists" of the enlightenment refer to Plato's ideas as the basis for their agenda.

This gives a deeper understanding to the word "sophisticated":
so·phis·ti·cate  (s-fst-kt)

v. so·phis·ti·cat·ed, so·phis·ti·cat·ing, so·phis·ti·cates
v.tr.
1. To cause to become less natural, especially to make less naive and more worldly.
2. To make impure; adulterate.
3. To make more complex or inclusive; refine.
v.intr.
To use sophistry.
n. (-kt)
A sophisticated person.
[Middle English sophisticaten, to adulterate, from Medieval Latin sophisticre, sophistict-, from Latin sophisticus, sophistic, from Greek sophistikos, from sophists, sophist; see sophist.]

They're Here.....

First off, for anyone reading this that hasn't read here much, let me say right off the top that I do not subscribe to submitting to fear over the stuff that is being revealed. We who are the Lord's are under His protection and have NOTHING to fear. We ARE supposed to WATCH and PRAY. We need to be concerned, yet not overwrought. I do not agree with many who bring this information out who think that we need to revolt, to have a revolution. No. We are to WATCH (be aware of what's going on) and PRAY (talk with Jesus about it, as for wisdom, and guidance through this junk, in a manner that will bring Him honor and glory). OK, now you may continue, lol...

Stuff about cyborgs.... it's just science fiction, right?

I had seen many years ago (back in the 90's when I began learning about these kinds of things online) that there were experiments that involved linking the human brain with computers...well, not quite...I had seen it discussed first in "Omni magazine" back in the early 80's in their science "continuum" section which dealt with real scientific research that is going on. Sure there are those who will "pooh-pooh" magazines such as Omni because it had both science fiction and science fact, and some people cannot discern the difference and think  it  must therefore all be fabricated...and then a few years later there are videos of hardwired animals and insects controlled by remote control....and articles such as the one I have linked below...

Who knows how long they've been working on this and how far they are in their research except what they allow to be leaked out. Here's an article about it, but they probably know alot more than what they are telling:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2087843/Living-cyborg-brains-created-laboratory--electrical-chips-replacing-missing-parts.html

Excerpt:

researchers at Tel Aviv University have successfully created circuits that can replace motor functions - such as blinking - and implanted them into brains.
They hope the technology could in the future help people suffering from brain malfunctions such as Parkinson's disease - by replacing damaged or malfunctioning tissue with chips that perform the same function.

I agree with this person who wrote in the comment section:
It sounds nice and all, but it's just the bait. I think it's naive to think that one day that chip in your brain is not going to be monitored and misused by your beloved government. After all thinkers are just too damn hard to govern.
Alex Jones talks about alot of this stuff here:

The Star

Jeffrey Radt at Look Up Fellowship posted about the Star of Bethlehem today...and he got me thinking about stars....about how television and movie actors are called "stars", and "wishing upon a star", and the death star of "Star Wars"....and Nibiru, and Wormwood...anyway...I only got to watch the first 10 mins of the video that LUF had up but it is amazing! So I repost it here, in 3 parts:

Footprints

This story reminds me of the poem "Footprints" for some reason... but it has little to do with that poem, and I find it comical how far atheists will go to deny the truth.

Excerpt:

"...to fit these footprints into an evolutionary scenario, it would seem that the tracks would have had to be made by a creature that was human from the waist down, but ape-like from the waist up. Evolutionary baggage, not scientific data, has forced this warped and imaginative interpretation, for which there is little or no scientific support. Extinct ape-like creatures collectively called australopiths are routinely invoked as the real Laetoli print makers, but none of these fossil forms show feet, legs, or hips the same size and shape as those of humans."

Explosive Evidence for Creation with Dr. Steve Austin

I love creation science. I stumbled into this little video in which Dr Steve Austin, a geologist, explains that Mt. St. Helens offers proof of quick earth stratification and other geological changes that atheistic scientists try to convince us to believe needed to take millions of years, but in fact could have been accomplished in days rather than millions of years. This video is just under a half hour long, and Dr Austin explains these things alot better than I do, so please take the time to listen and learn something new!
